On the fourth floor of an old paper mill nestled between the C&O Canal and the Potomac River lies a true gem - a flat with breathtaking views of the River and the Kennedy Center and a rare loft-like layout. Walls were painted in a rich tan with a deep brown focal wall to seamlessly mimic the earthiness of the outdoors. Two chaises placed together serve as a cozy nest in which to lounge. A few steps away, clear Philippe Starck Louis Ghost chairs surround the wenge wood dining table over which a crystal chandelier dangles accentuating the lucidity of the chairs. With a master bedroom clad in all white, the guest room/study screamed for a brighter covering. Anchored with furniture in shades of brown, the room is a lively plum color, with magenta trim and a lavender ceiling adding a bit of levity to the otherwise sophisticated space.
