Elevator doors glide open directly into the Tribeca loft of a New York music executive where modern, edgy and chic are some words that spring to mind. This client emphatically + unconventionally wanted a second living area in place of a dining space in the vast room that housed the kitchen, work section, dining room, fireplace + living area. Blending shades of brown + diverse textures on items ranging from velvet swivel chairs to cork coffee tables to shag rugs, we were able to infuse a feeling of warmth and style into this great room. However, being in the music business, we needed to add an edge to the design. Lime green + hot pink accent pillows coordinate with quadruple canvas Warhol-esque paintings to put the finishing touches on a grand, modern + stylish retreat.
